Persecuted by the residents of the Overlook Hotel, where he spent a terrible childhood, Dan drifted for decades, desperate, losing his father’s legacy from alcoholism and violence. Eventually, he lived in New Hampshire, an AA community that supported him, and worked in a nursing home where his surviving “glorious” power offered the best comfort to the deceased. With the help of the previous cat, he becomes “Doctor Dream”. Then Dan meets the disappearing Abra Stone and his remarkable gift, the brightest glow ever seen, revives Dan’s own demons and invites him to fight for Abras.
